Beauty for Ashes (Music, Dec 2016)
Creation and production of a music video for the title track of bittymacbeth’s (Beth Yap’s) album, to illustrate the delicate balance between suffering and joy. The album hit #1 on iTunes'/Apple Music’s Top R&B/Soul songs in Singapore three days after its release, and tickets to the launch at the Esplanade Recital Studio also sold out. STAPLE 01: Dizziness of Youth (Literary Arts, September 2016)
Publication of a bi-annual print magazine entitled STAPLE. STAPLE is a compilation of precarious ideas that aims to challenge common thought on contemporary issues. Targetted at the culturally astute millennial who possesses a discerning taste while maintaining diverse interests, STAPLE is a magazine that satisfies the intense curiosity we have for the world today. Lucid Spheres (Dance, July 2016)
Lucid Spheres is a dance performance by PARAGRAPH, which was an amalgamation of devised stories, crafted through an inter-disciplinary approach where artists explored beyond their specific forms of Theatre, Music, Dance and Balloon Art. The collaboration created an enticing world for the audience to think and feel about all the things they'd like to say and the disheartening lack of language for it. A Ride Through Race Course Road (Visual Arts, June 2016)
A creation and production of a large-scale mural at 50 Race Course Road by Jaxton Su, together with 44 participants which included migrant workers and students from Raffles Institution. The mural was completed in June 2016 and many passers-by learnt more about the history of Race Course Road through the mural. The project was supported by the Matchbox grant, Singapore Turf Club and National Youth Council Young ChangeMakers grant. For details, visit here.
Pandora's Dimension (Visual Arts, Oct 2015)
A short film project by See Sher Lyn that was inspired by a friend who had battled schizophrenia. She worked in collaboration with mental health professionals (IMH and Club Heal) and schoolmates from NTU ADM (film/animation majors) to create the film, along with a screening and panel discussion which involved mental health experts, to raise awareness about mental health issues. The film was supported by both Matchbox and the National Youth Council Young ChangeMakers grant. This project had also encouraged Sher Lyn to consider a possible career in social enterprise through the arts. To view the film, visit: https://vimeo.com/143706003/
