AntzUrban Artist ANTZ's meteoric rise from obscurity to becoming one of the upcoming urban artists to look out for stems from his unique illustrative style. A style which makes heavy references to Chinese culture; from mythology to dialect and identity, ANTZ has managed to create an interesting juxtaposed mash of contemporary urban styles with traditional Chinese visuals and influences. Apart from being a full time art director professionally, ANTZ is also the co- founder of the design collective The Geeksigners. As an artist, ANTZ has been involved in renowned projects and international events such as ADIDAS, NIKE, IdN, Converse, Taggerbags, Tiger Translate, Ministry of Sound (Singapore), MTV Asia and many more.

David ChanArtist David Chan is a full-time artist who held his first solo exhibition – Genetic Wonderland – in 2004 at age 25, to much critical and public acclaim. In that year, he was also winner of the 23rd UOB Painting of the Year – Representational Medium Category Award. Working with oil on linen, David paints in a realistic style and uses subjects such as animals, humans and animal/human hybrids. In merely a few years after his graduation from RMIT, he was able to exhibit in many countries such as, China, Korea, Venice, Malaysia, America, Indonesia, etc. |

Edmund ShernEditor/Writer/Film Producer Edmund Shern is a writer/producer at TANSHERN, a transmedia entertainment company which he co-founded. In addition to writing and producing feature films and award winning TV productions for Singapore, China and Hollywood, he also continues to be actively involved in writing and producing stage productions. Recently, Edmund has also been focusing on new media publishing and gaming as a launch pad for new creations. |

Eric LeeDirector, Refruit Since 2001, Eric Lee has garnered industry experience as a multimedia designer, interaction designer and interactive media specialist, with a design portfolio comprising clients such as Creative Technology, Moet Hennessy, Volkswagen and Tiger Beer. Since 2004, he has been involved in training and developing media production skills with schools in Singapore like the Orita Sinclair School of Design New Media & the Arts. Besides teaching, Eric also works with a design collective, Momorobo. |

Jackson TanCreative Director, Black Design / Partner, :phunk studio www.blackdesign.com.sg / www.phunkstudio.com Singaporean artist Jackson Tan wears many creative hats: he is a designer, curator and creative director. Co-founder of Phunk Studio, a contemporary art and design collective that has been described as "one of the world’s foremost cutting-edge design collectives”, Jackson is also the co-founder and Creative Director of Black Design, a multi-disciplinary design practice. He has also curated and designed landmark exhibitions to critical acclaim worldwide, for example '20/20', an ongoing showcase of Singapore's finest design talents. |

Kelvin LokCreative Director, Couple Previously the Creative Director of Epigram, Kelvin Lok is the co-founder of Couple. Founded in 2007, Couple's projects include print and screen graphics, packaging, way-finding systems, books and magazines. Kelvin’s more recent awards include the I.D. Annual Design Review, Design Distinction and the Red Dot Design Award. His work has been featured in several publications, including the Tokyo Type Directors Club 2009 Annual. |

Michael NgIllustrator Michael Ng aka Mindflyer is a veteran artist/Illustrator/mentor with more than 20 years of experience. Michael has worked on many interesting projects with his original style. Always eager to push the envelope, he seeks to give each client a unique reinterpretation to express their message. Some of his recent work includes illustrations for Tang’s website games, Tang’s 2010 Christmas campaign, Singapore Cable Car, The National Art Gallery Open House and Kalkitos. Besides painting, exhibiting his work and adjunct lecturing, he is actively involved in engaging and challenging young illustrators in the illustrator’s group, Organisation of Illustrators Council, where he is also a founding member.

Pann LimCreative Director, Kinetic Pann Lim believes that design and advertising without an idea is a sin. It is with this belief that he has devoted his time to creating ideas that won him over 250 industry awards. The year 2010 also saw Pann winning the Singapore Creative Circle Awards Best of Show (Design) and also leading Kinetic as YoungGuns International Design Agency of the year. Because of his passion, he has been nominated as Singapore's Most Influential Creative Director by IAS for four years. Currently ranked 14th in Australasia by Campaign Brief THE WORK. This year, he is also chairman for the Crowbar Awards 2011.

Roy PohCreative Director, Beautiful Roy Poh is the creative director and founder of Beautiful. Nominated by Institute of Advertising Singapore as 15 most influential Creative Directors in Singapore for 2006, 2007 & 2010, Roy has also been invited to judge at both international and local award shows like the Australia Young Guns Design & Advertising Award, the Singapore Creative Circle Award, the D&AD Global Award in London and most recently the Cannes Lion Awards and Spikes Asia Awards. He is also the co-founder of The Design Society. |

Sokkuan TyeIllustrator/Graphic designer/Creator After graduating from The One Academy of Communication Design in Kuala Lumpur, Sokkuan ran into the loving arms of Singapore, where she served as an art director at Ogilvy & Mather before finding her calling as an illustrator. Her clients included Coca Cola, Heineken, Nike, etc. Adept at various illustration styles, Sokkuan devotes herself to her personal project “Sophie Black” in her free time. Recently, Sokkuan has put down her pen temporarily and picked up her sewing needle to move into hand stitch illustration - preferring to express herself through this therapeutic medium that is at once beautiful and textured. |

Terrence TanCreative Director, DDB With a keen eye for design and a hunger for adventure, Terrence Tan has worked at some of the industry’s top shops, including Ogilvy, TBWA, and BBDO over the past 26 years. Terrence is currently the Creative Director at DDB Singapore and is responsible for the agency’s creative renaissance. His desire for great work has won him over 300 awards from the world’s leading shows, and in 2008, Terrence was inducted into the IAS Hall of Fame as ‘Creative Director of the Year’. |

YongSomewhere Else In his nearly five-year stint at Asylum, Yong has crafted a wide spectrum of projects from branding to environmental graphics for clients like, Singapore International Photography Festival, The Prime Society, The Lo and Behold Group and Chocolate Research Facility. His works have gone on to receive both local and international awards like The One Show, Communication Art, Red Dot Awards and The Art Directors Club. His works have also been featured in numerous publications worldwide most notably, the Tokyo Type Director's Club. He is the co-head of the Industry Advisory Council at Orita Sinclair School of Design New Media & the Arts. He has recently left his post as Senior Designer at Asylum and is currently working towards his own design studio named Somewhere Else. |

Bryan van der BeekPhotojournalist Bryan van der Beek is a freelance photojournalist based in Singapore and whose work spans Asia, North America and Europe. A former Executive Photojournalist with The Straits Times in Singapore, Bryan has also worked at newspapers in the United States and has had his work published by Time, Time Asia, Newsweek, The Washington Post and many others. His work is in the permanent collections at the National Museum of Singapore. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Journalism, Bryan has lectured at the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University, Temasek Polytechnic as well as the Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking.

C.S. LingPhotographer cslingphotography.com / lifelistchase.com C.S.Ling dedicates her passion in photography to empower conservation efforts. Her compelling imagery of vanishing landscapes and endangered wildlife coupled with her dedication to educating the younger generation, earned her the title of “Green Role Model” at the Green Carpet Awards 2011 organised by National Geographic Explorer magazine and Nikon Singapore. She is named Nikon Singapore Professional Photographer, Sandisk Extreme Team member and International Environment Photographers Association member. She is co-founder of Life List Chase, which recently staged a photo exhibition, To:MOM (To: My Orangutan Mother), on Mother’s Day at ION Orchard to highlight the plight of Orangutan orphans who have lost their mothers due to destructive human activities in Borneo.

Chow Chee YongPhotographer Chow Chee Yong is a senior lecturer in the Department of Visual Communication at Temasek Design School in Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore). He is a BFA (Honours) graduate in Photography from Western Michigan University, USA, and he received a scholarship from JCCI for his MA (Distinction) degree in Photography from Musashino Art University, Tokyo, Japan. Chee Yong has since participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions across Asia and the Pacific, and some of his works were even featured in international publications such as Passages North (USA) and Nippon Camera (Japan).

Ernest GohPhotographer Storytelling is at the heart of Ernest Goh's various human-interest projects which includes Laughter In The Rain, a ground-breaking book documenting the history and reality of disabled sports in Singapore; Beyond Mask, a book published in honour of the medical workers who sacrificed their lives at the height of the SARS outbreak in Asia; and Thailand: 9 Days in the Kingdom, a photographic project involving 55 international photographers that was produced in honour of the Thai king, his Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2007. Ernest has an MA in Creative and Cultural Enterprise from Goldsmiths College, University of London and is a member of the Institute of Contemporary Arts' A-Frame Network, an initiative of the UK government's Cultural Leadership Programme. In June 2009, he was awarded its inaugural Incentivising Innovation Fund.

John ClangPhotographer A Singapore-born, New York-based photographer, John Clang first began exhibiting his works at art galleries in Singapore at the age of 21. He has since exhibited worldwide at prominent galleries in New York, London, Los Angeles and Paris, and a collection of his artwork is now part of the permanent collection at the Singapore Art Museum. In 2010, he became the first photographer in Singapore to receive the Designer of the Year award at the annual President's Design Award. He is also one of the finalists in the Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2010.

Lee Tiah KheeChief Photographer, Lianhe Zaobao Chief Photographer of Lianhe Zaobao, Lee Tiah Khee started his photographic journey during his teenage years and has since accumulated more than 20 years of experience. His works have earned him accolades including a FIAP Silver Medal in the 54th Singapore International Photography Award, and the Overall Best Award in both Discovering Singapore and The World Photography Competition. At work, Tiah Khee is constantly challenged by the demands of photojournalism, while at leisure he is fascinated with bird photography.

Mathias HengPhotojournalist Images from humanity issues have always had a powerful effect on Mathias Heng, hence his decision to be a photojournalist. He has photographed several conflicts and their effects on the civilian population in his travels to places of war, disaster, poverty and human struggle, producing a body of emotionally moving documentary work that captures key moments and turning points in history. Mathias’s works appear in international publications throughout Asia and Europe, and in spite of his exposure to many atrocities, he has never lost his passion and commitment to humanity, or his ability to capture images which speak to people around the globe.

Robert Zhao RenhuiArtist Robert Zhao Renhui’s work is based on the concept of doubt and uncertainty and in his creation, The Institute of Critical Zoologists (ICZ), he tests to the limit the principles behind the dissemination of knowledge and acceptance of truths. He has exhibited at The Singapore Art Museum, Jendela (Singapore), Fukouka Art Museum (Japan), Photo Levallois (Paris), Seoul Arts Center (Korea) and The Arts Gallery (London). His work has also been awarded The Deutsche Bank Award in Photograph (London), 2011, The United Overseas Bank Painting of the Year Award (2009) and the Sony World Photography Awards at Cannes, 2010. In 2010, he was awarded the Young Artist Award by the National Arts Council.

Roy ZhangPhotographer Starting out as an advertising photographer in 1998, Roy Zhang quickly went on to win various international advertising awards for his work on still life. He currently shifts between still life, fashion photography and portraiture with great success, and continues to build an impressive roster of advertising and editorial clients. Roy had completed a photography art project for the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, which will be displayed permanently at the new Stadium MRT Station on the Circle Line.

Stefen ChowPhotographer Award-winning photographer Stefen Chow is an accomplished adventurer, having successfully summited Mount Everest. Stefen is also a professional photographer supported by Nikon Singapore. Stefen has worked extensively with international organisations including Wall Street Journal, Geo Germany and Smithsonian Magazine, as well as commercial clients such as Cartier, Keppel and Apple.

Teo Chai GuanPhotographer Currently ranked 1st in Singapore and 9th internationally under Archive’s acclaimed advertising photographers ranking, Teo Chai Guan has established Teo Studio and himself as a commercial photographer. Specialising in producing conceptual advertising work consisting of still life, portrait, lifestyle and landscape photography for agencies both locally and regionally, Chai Guan has proven his ability to stay versatile and flexible. He has also received several international awards from prestigious festivals such as Cannes, D&AD, One Show, CA, Clio and Adfest. Besides commercial photography, Chai Guan also actively pursues his other major interest in fine art photography.

Zhang JingnaDirector/Photographer One of the youngest fashion and beauty photographers emerging from Singapore, at only 23, Zhang Jingna has already been contributing to Harper's Bazaar and ELLE Singapore for a number of years. Her list of commercial clients includes names such as Mercedes Benz, MontBlanc, Canon, Pond's, Anchor Beer, Wacom and Random House. With a painterly and fantastical touch to her works permeated by influences from the Pre-Raphaelites, Jingna's romantic, ethereal and sensuous images exude a quiet and steady confidence with maturity belying her age. Working internationally, Jingna spends the majority of her time between Singapore, Los Angeles and Toronto. |

Bani HaykalMusician Bani Haykal writes music + narratives. With B-Quartet, he has written and performed on two records, Tomorrow Is Our Permanent Address and Conformity Has Replaced Consciousness, and with Mux, has written, performed and directed performances at The Esplanade (What Day Is It Today?) and The Substation (The Unpressionist/People Without People). He has published one book of poetry, Sit Quietly In The Flood, and has read and presented works in several festivals including The Kuala Lumpur International Literary Festival, Singapore Arts Festival and Singapore Design Festival. Presently, he is researching on music and culture, whilst developing alternative music vocabulary expressing modern Singapore. In 2001 he presented the first series of music explorations, Alternatives at The Substation Gallery.

Daniel SassoonMusician When Daniel Sassoon first picked up a guitar at age 13, he did not expect it would define his life as a musician and songwriter. A recognisable name in Singapore’s music scene since 1993, Daniel carved out a reputation as an accomplished and inventive guitarist in acclaimed bands Livonia and Electrico. Daniel currently fronts instrumental post/progressive rock outfit In Each Hand A Cutlass, which just released its debut album A Universe Made of Strings. He has organised gigs, written for music magazines, is a member of Heineken’s Sound Council, and served as a judge and mentor for Esplanade’s Baybeats in 2009 and 2010. A legal counsel by profession, he has given talks on legal issues that affect musicians.

Don RichmondMusician/Music Producer Don is crazy. Crazy talented. He is an award-winning composer for television, film and theatre, and an established music producer. He has worked with artists such as Sezairi Sezali, Sylvia Ratonel, X'Ho, Alicia Pan and David Tan (Electrico). On radio, he was the Creative Producer for 98.7FM and was one half of The Don And Drew Show, the first local commercial radio show to be podcasted and aired in the US. Together with partner Andrew Crothers, Don went on to release songs which won Best Local Song in 2006 and 2007, and made it into the top 10 of 98.7FM's Top 100 Countdown. |

Eddino Abdul HadiMusic Journalist/Musician Eddino Abdul Hadi is currently the music journalist for national newspaper The Straits Times. Prior to that, he was one of the main writers for BigO, Singapore's only independent music magazine, and is also a musician, songwriter and founder of popular homegrown band Force Vomit. He is also a member of several other homegrown acts and the co-founder of independent music collective, record label and music studio The End Of Recordings.

Kevin MathewsMusic Journalist/Musician Kevin Mathews believes in new dawns. At 32, when the dreams of other Singaporean musicians start to wane, Kevin embarked on his magical mystery tour and released his first album with Watchmen. Since then, he has released four more CDs under the Crowd and Popland monikers while establishing himself as a soundtrack writer (scoring films for Eric Khoo), a renowned music journalist and artist manager. Patrick ChngMusician When it comes to experience, Patrick Chng is hard to beat. The multi-instrumentalist has been in the local music scene for 20 years, starting off as the frontman of The Oddfellows, the first Singapore band to have a number one hit on radio station 98.7FM’s chart. He was previously the Senior Editor/Supervising Producer of MTAVAsia.com and is now a part-time consultant with Gibson guitars. The other part of his time is spent producing and organising gigs, writing about local music for various publications and playing lead guitar for his band TypeWriter.

Saiful IdrisMusician www.facebook.com/thegreatspyexperiment Saiful Idris is singer, guitarist and songwriter for the Great Spy Experiment, a band that creates music that is the best of indie, rock and dance put together. The band was featured in internationally renowned events such as the Baybeats, Mosaic, ZoukOut, South by Southwest (SXSW) and One Movement festivals and brought their music to audiences as far and wide as New York, Perth, Texas and Taipei. Their first album Flower Show Riots (2007) garnered rave reviews and widespread acclaim both in Singapore and abroad. Aside from the Great Spy Experiment, Saiful is also a DJ who has brought his versatility and wide repertoire of electronic music to audiences in Singapore, London and the Philippines.

Sara WeeMusician Sara Wee is a sought-after vocalist and guitarist with eight years of experience performing live music at established local venues. A graduate from Lasalle College of the Arts with a Diploma in Music Technology and Degree in Jazz, she has been involved in vocal training in schools, was a guest vocal coach on Singapore Idol 3 and is currently a vocal coach at Timbre Music Academy. Besides music, Sara played the lead character Mia in the Five Foot Broadway musical production Lost in Transit in 2005. She is also currently a DJ with radio station Power 98 and performs weekly with her band, 53A, at venues around Singapore including Timbre live venues and CM-PB at Dempsey. They recently released their debut album Settle The Kettle.
